Special Provisions Online Library

The following special provisions are provided as boilerplates only and must be revised and modified to meet the specific needs of each specific project. Engineers and consultants are required to seal all special provisions used on each City of Charlotte project.

SP: Special Provision

SPL: Special Provision for Landscaping

SPSRW: Special Provision for Stream Restoration and Wetlands

SPU: Special Provision for Utilities

SPPBMP: Special Provision for Ponds and BMPs

SPS: Special Provision for Structures

The "Version Date" listed in the SP is the last date the city revised the SP. The "Revision Date" is the last date that the SP was revised for project specific needs and is only relevant to that particular project. If the original is revised for the project, add a revision date, initials of the engineer, and place an R after the SP # in the project manual (Ex. SP-9R). Be sure to use the Microsoft Word feature "track changes" for any changes you make to the revised SP. Leave the revision date blank if no project-specific changes are required by the engineer.
