There will be no garbage, recycling or scheduled bulky waste on Labor Day, Monday, Sept. 7. Monday customers: Set carts out Tuesday. Tuesday-Friday customers: Set carts out on your normal day. Leave carts out until collected; service may be delayed. If not collected by 6 p.m. Friday, call 311. There will be no yard waste this week.
The Cricketeer Storm Drainage Improvement Project will reduce street and structure flooding throughout the neighborhood. Located within a drainage area of approximately 15 acres, the project will replace aging infrastructure and provide adequate system capacity. The project area is bordered by Northbrook Drive to the north, Cricketeer Drive to the south, Banbury Drive to the east and Stewart Creek to the west.

July 2026 Charlotte-Mecklenburg Storm Water Services and engineering consultant Brown and Caldwell continue with the design phase.
The project team is coordinating with private utility companies to identify potential conflicts and relocation needs. Next, staff will develop detailed drawings for the proposed improvements.
