Newsracks

The City of Charlotte has installed five newsracks at locations with high pedestrian traffic in uptown Charlotte. Each newsrack contains bins that publishers may rent by obtaining an annual permit from the Charlotte Department of Transportation (CDOT). The newsracks cannot facilitate payment, so every publication must be offered for free to the public.

Locations

Newsracks are located at:

  • Charlotte-Mecklenburg Government Center (600 E. Fourth St.)
  • Transamerica Building (North Tryon Street and West Eighth Street)
  • Bank of America Plaza (North Tryon Street and East Trade Street)
  • McColl Park (South Tryon Street and West Trade Street)
  • Mint Museum Plaza (South Tryon Street and Levine Avenue of the Arts)
