Cross Charlotte Trail Segment 07: East Craighead to North Tryon

Announcement

January 21, 2026 - Construction for this project is substantially complete and the project is now in the warranty phase. All work is guaranteed by the contractor for a minimum of one year. During this time, General Services will perform inspections at the 6 and 11-month marks. The project is now in the landscaping phase.

Project Overview

This project will extend the Cross Charlotte Trail main alignment from East Craighead Road to North Tryon Street, with additional connectors to the surrounding area. This segment is currently under study to determine a recommended alignment and trail dimensions, as well as recommended amenities.
