Cross Charlotte Trail Segment 07: East Craighead to North Tryon

Announcement

September 18, 2025 - Construction continues on this project, and a General Services construction inspector visits the site daily. The contractor will be installing pavement markings in the coming weeks. The project team will continue to coordinate with private development projects within the project area. Construction is expected to continue throughout the remainder of the year.

Project Overview

This project will extend the Cross Charlotte Trail main alignment from East Craighead Road to North Tryon Street, with additional connectors to the surrounding area. This segment is currently under study to determine a recommended alignment and trail dimensions, as well as recommended amenities.
