April 14, 2026 - Construction for this project is substantially complete and the project is now open to the public. The project is now in the warranty phase. All work is guaranteed by the contractor for one year. During this time, General Services will perform inspections at the 6 and 11-month marks.

Project Overview

This project will complete a new segment of the Cross Charlotte Trail through the Hidden Valley neighborhood from approximately North Tryon Street to Orr Road. The project team will identify locations that will connect the trail to the broader area bicycle and pedestrian network as well as to the LYNX Blue Line. The specific project limits and trail alignment will be defined during the planning and design phases and will be posted on this page and shared with nearby residents and businesses once they are determined.
