Project Overview

This project provides a signalized pedestrian crossing at North Tryon Street near Northchase Drive. This crossing provides a safer pedestrian connection to the Old Concord LYNX Blue Line station.

Project Goals

  • To increase connectivity to the LYNX Blue Line
  • To enhance pedstrian safety

Public Involvement

A series of neighborhood meetings, public meetings and stakeholder interviews were held during the pre-planning phase for the Northeast Corridor Infrastructure Improvement Program (NECI).
