Part of the Corridors of Opportunity Program
The I-85 and Sugar Creek Road corridor is home to historic neighborhoods including Hidden Valley and Derita. Because of its proximity to the highway and several inexpensive hotels, criminal activity is higher in this area and safety is a priority. The area also lacks investment, transportation options, natural space and jobs. Projects in this corridor will include improving safety for pedestrians and addressing the maintenance of buildings and public right-of-way.
