Meeting Update: The City of Charlotte Zoning Committee Meeting on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, will be held at 5:30 p.m. at the Government Center, 600 E. Fourth Street, Charlotte, NC 28202 in Room 280 and be open to the public. You will also be able to attend this meeting virtually. It will be available to view on the city's, Planning, Design & Development YouTube page. The meeting agenda can be found online. Please attend or tune in to stay up to date on the latest rezoning cases being considered by the Zoning Committee.
A property owner who wants to use the land for a purpose outside their specified zoning district must petition the city to change the zoning district. This process is called rezoning.
