Mental Health Awareness Intergovernmental Community Meeting

Join elected representatives from the Mecklenburg Board of County Commissioners, Charlotte City Council, and the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Board of Education for the Mental Health Awareness Intergovernmental Community Meeting. This event will be hosted by:

• Laura Meier, Commissioner, Mecklenburg County, District 5
• Kimberly Owens, Council Member, City of Charlotte, District 6
• Cynthia Stone, Board Member, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Board of Education, District 5

The Intergovernmental Community Meeting will include: 

• District 5/District 6 highlights of capital investments (where we've been, where we are and where we're going).
• Essential discussion on safeguarding mental health and wellness for adults and children.
• Resource tables with mental and physical health information. Gain practical insights on how regular physical activity can alleviate academic stress, reduce anxiety and foster long-term emotional resilience
• A facilitated Q&A session with elected officials and presenters.
