The Charlotte-Mecklenburg area is preparing for a significant winter storm with anticipated impacts arriving Saturday and continuing through Monday. The storm is forecasted to bring substantial amounts of sleet and ice, which will likely result in widespread power outages and dangerous road conditions creating hazardous travel conditions starting Saturday and continuing into early next week.
If you are in need of emergency assistance, call 911. Non-emergency help can be called into 311 over the weekend.
