Labor Day Trash and Recycling Collection

There will be no garbage, recycling or scheduled bulky waste on Labor Day, Monday, Sept. 7. Monday customers: Set carts out Tuesday. Tuesday-Friday customers: Set carts out on your normal day. Leave carts out until collected; service may be delayed. If not collected by 6 p.m. Friday, call 311. There will be no yard waste this week.

ACC is also here to help educate the public about how to best care for animals and work to keep pets and people safe and together.

Drive-Thru Rabies Clinic

Rabies Vaccine Clinic for Pets, For Mecklenburg County Residents

Saturday, September 12, 2026, 8:00 a.m. - 10:45 a.m.

2725 Beam Road, Charlotte, NC 28273

Only 1-Year Rabies Vaccine will be offered; Pets must be 4 months of age to receive vaccine.

These clinics are popular and, wait time could be long. Make sure you bring the following: A full tank of gas in your vehicle, Plenty of water and snacks for you and your pets, Leash for Dogs and carriers for Cats.

You must be in line inside the gate of the venue before 10:45 a.m. to receive services.

Join Charlotte-Mecklenburg Animal Care & Control, Subaru South Charlotte, and First Tee Greater Charlotte for an evening of trick-or-treating, adoptable dogs, a children's putting green, food trucks and more. Costumes are encouraged!

This event is free. Advance registration is requested to help us estimate attendance and prepare for everyone joining the fun.
