Charlotte-Mecklenburg Animal Care & Control (ACC) is dedicated to helping the people and pets of Charlotte and Mecklenburg County by providing a variety of medical and support services. ACC is also here to help educate the public about how to best care for animals and work to keep pets and people safe and together.

Only 1-Year Rabies Vaccine will be offered

These clinics are popular and, wait time could be long. Make sure you bring the following: A full tank of gas in your vehicle, Plenty of water and snacks for you and your pets, Leash for Dogs and carriers for Cats.

You must be in line inside the gate of the venue before 10:45 a.m. to receive services.

Bissell Pet Foundation's Empty the Shelters Adoption Event

July 13-19, 2026

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Animal Care & Control is proud to participate in the Bissell Pet Foundation's Empty the Shelters adoption event.

From July 13 through July 19, adopters can take advantage of reduced adoption fees, with the spay or neuter fee waived for pets, making it even more affordable to give a shelter animal a loving home.
