Overview

The Raleigh Storm Drainage Improvement Project is currently on hold. Ongoing private development in the area includes the installation of private storm drainage systems, some of which will connect to the public drainage system. Once these private development projects are complete, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Storm Water Services will reassess the area and restart the project if necessary.

The Raleigh Storm Drainage Improvement Project will reduce street and structure flooding throughout the neighborhood. Located within a drainage area of approximately 307 acres, the project will replace and/or rehabilitate aging infrastructure and provide improved drainage system capacity. The project area is bordered by North Tryon Street to the north, Raleigh Street to the south, Bingham Drive to the east and Sugar Creek Road to the west.
