Overview

The Queens/Westfield Storm Drainage Improvement Project will study a drainage area of approximately 96 acres. If storm drainage improvements are needed, the project will replace and/or rehabilitate aging infrastructure and provide adequate drainage system capacity. The project area is bordered by Princeton Avenue to the north, Lynnwood Drive to the south, Bucknell Avenue to the east and Little Sugar Creek to the west.

Project Updates

April 2025

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Storm Water Services and engineering consultant WK Dickson & Co. have completed the study of the existing storm drainage system in the Queens/Westfield project area.

Next, the project will move into the design phase. During this phase the project team will develop detailed drawings for the proposed improvements.
