The Laurel Storm Drainage Improvement Project will reduce street flooding in the area. Located within a drainage area of approximately 52 acres, the project will replace and/or rehabilitate aging infrastructure and provide adequate drainage system capacity. The project area is bordered by Laurel Avenue to the north, Dotger Avenue to the south, Randolph Road to the east and Hempstead Place to the west.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Storm Water Servicesand Armstrong Glen have acquired most of the easements needed for construction.
The project will replace and/or rehabilitate aging infrastructure and provide adequate drainage system capacity. The project team is working on finalizing the design plans.
