Overview

The Hastings/Princeton Storm Drainage Improvement Project will reduce street and structure flooding throughout the neighborhood. Located within a drainage area of approximately 80 acres, the project will replace aging infrastructure and provide adequate system capacity. The project area is bordered by Wellesley Avenue to the north, Hastings Drive to the south, Selwyn Avenue to the east and Jamestown Drive to the west.

Project Updates

August 2025

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Storm Water Services and engineering consultant HDR, Inc. continue with the design phase. The project will replace aging infrastructure and provide adequate system capacity.

The project team is developing detailed drawings for the proposed improvements.
