Overview

The Elvis Storm Drainage Improvement Project will reduce street flooding throughout the neighborhood. Located within a drainage area of approximately 1027 acres, the project will replace aging infrastructure and provide adequate drainage system capacity. The project area is bordered by Elvis Drive to the north, McKee Creek to the south, Eastlake Road to the east and Cedarbrook Drive to the west.

Project Updates

October 2024

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Storm Water Services and consultant Hazen & Sawyer have acquired most of the easements needed for construction. The project team is working on finalizing the design plans. 

The real estate acquisition phase should be complete soon and then the bid phase will begin. During this phase, the final plans will be circulated to qualified contractors for a competitive bidding process. Once City Council awards the contract, construction will be scheduled.
