Meet Stormy! Their job is educating the people of Mecklenburg County on how to prevent water pollution in order to maintain healthy local waterways and they love their job. For example, Stormy would be quick to tell you that anything on the ground can be picked up by stormwater, enter our storm drains and end up in our waterways, which can be bad news for us and our aquatic habitats and life. There are lots of simple ways to make a personal impact on the health of our creeks, lakes and rivers! With some basic, everyday changes, you can help reduce the amount of pollutants entering our stormwater system and eventually: our waterways.
