Eastway Drive and Shamrock Drive Intersection

Announcement

April 17, 2026 - This project is currently in the design phase with the real estate phase expected to begin this summer. More details about the project are being prepared and the city will share an update in the coming months. The project team will host a table at the Methodist Home Recreation Center Summer Kickoff on June 13 to share information and answer questions about the project.

Project Overview

This project will reconstruct the intersection of Eastway and Shamrock Drive. Feasibility plans for the project include widening of the roadways through the intersection to a complete realignment. The project team will identify the best land use configuration as well as analyze realignment of the intersection. The project has overlapping limits with the Shamrock Drive Complete Street project, and the projects will coordinate to avoid unnecessary overlap.

Project Goals

This is a multi-modal intersection project providing additional vehicular capacity, safer pedestrian accommodations and includes bicycle facilities at Eastway Drive and Shamrock Drive.

Public Involvement

The project team will host one public engagement event to get community input and give residents an opportunity to ask questions about the city's real estate acquisition process. Meeting details will be shared once they are determined.
