Single Family (Residential) Co-Hold Release Request

Visit Charlotte Explorer and type in your project address.

On the layers list, click the arrow to the left of "Planning" to expand that layer group. Scroll down to Land Development Urban Forestry Residential and click the eye to add the layer to the map.

Next, scroll down to Land Development Construction Inspectors and click the eye to add the layer to the map.

Zoom to your parcel location, and click on the parcel to identify the inspectors for your project.

You can use the arrows in the top right corner of the pop-up box to toggle back and forth between the Urban Forestry Residential and Construction inspectors contact information. If you have further questions contact CLT Development Center Customer Service at 704-336-6692.

Homebuilder's Guidelines for Inspections provides you with the inspection checklist. These requirements must be met in order to not delay your CO. For a "Subdivision Single Family City Engineering Hold" on a residential property, a city site inspector will inspect the home to ensure that the site has safe access, the drainage plan is followed, the required sidewalk and trees are properly installed. All work must be 100% complete prior to submittal of this hold release request!

Your inspector will make every effort to inspect your site as soon as possible, but please allow three to five (3-5) business days. If a hold is not released within five (5) business days, then contact your inspector directly.
