The selected firm will evaluate the existing building and provide design services to support the conversion into an R&D facility.

  • Existing Conditions Assessment: Evaluate current building structure, systems, and utilities.
  • Facility Layout: Develop layout for R&D/pilot space, small analytical lab, offices, break area, and restrooms.
  • Building Systems Design: Provide architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing design services.
  • Utility Coordination: Identify required modifications and tie-ins to existing utilities.
  • ADA Improvements: Evaluate and design necessary site grading and accessibility upgrades.

    Insurance Requirements

    The City requires the awarded vendor(s) to obtain and maintain the following insurance coverage types:

    • Automobile-For automobile operations liability
    • General Liability-For bodily injury or property damage, arising from products, premises, completed work, personal & advertising injury: $1,000,000
    • Workers Compensation-For lost wages and medical expenses of injured workers: $500,000
