The selected Contractor must maintain a Washington, D.C.–area office and will monitor federal activity, communicate the City’s and MPTA’s positions, and pursue favorable policy, regulatory, and funding outcomes under the direction of the City’s Government Relations staff. Services include continuous engagement with Congress and the Executive Branch across priority areas such as aviation, economic development, workforce development, sustainability and environmental quality, transportation infrastructure, housing and community development, planning and land use, public safety, public transportation, stormwater, local government finance and procurement, telecommunications, water and sewer, and other emerging City Council priorities.
