Description
The CRTPO is the federally designated Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) for the Charlotte Urban Area, charged with coordinating and facilitating transportation planning and programming with member jurisdictions in Iredell, Mecklenburg, and the urban portion of Union counties. The CRTPO is embedded within the City of Charlotte Planning, Design & Development Department and is governed by a federally mandated transportation policy board comprised of representatives from local, state, and federal government, transit agencies and other stakeholders. The purpose of this solicitation is to retain a multidisciplinary firm to conduct transportation safety data analyses, develop associated data tools, deliver a regional Comprehensive Safety Action plan for the CRTPO planning area, and individual new or updated Safety Action Plans and technical support for each of the CRTPO’s member jurisdictions, as well as any other innovative safety strategies proposed by a prospective consultant. This solicitation is companion to a Public Education & Outreach request for proposals (RFP) focused on stakeholder outreach and engagement.
Pre-Submittal Meeting
A non-mandatory remote pre-submittal meeting was held on June 3, 2025 at 1 p.m. EDT to review the RFQ and answer questions regarding the services. No in-person meeting will be held.
