Passport Office Open Late March 9

Spring break and travel season are right around the corner. Ready to plan your next getaway but still need a passport? We’ve got you covered. The City of Charlotte Passport Acceptance Facility will remain open until 7 p.m. on Monday, March 9 to give you extra time after work to apply for your passport hassle-free.

Appointments are not required. During the extended hours, staff will accept walk-ins to provide residents with the opportunity to obtain passports outside of traditional business hours. Please note that passport renewals cannot be processed at this Passport Acceptance Facility and must be completed online.

The office is located in the lobby of the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Government Center (600 E. 4th Street, Charlotte). If getting a passport is on your to-do list, don’t miss your chance.
