MLK Day of Service Community Cleanups

Join your neighbors and other like-minded volunteers for any of the four different cleanups happening along the Beatties Ford Road and Freedom Drive corridors in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

The simultaneous service events are being put on by Keep Charlotte Beautiful (KCB); Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation; the JCSU 100 Club; and the city’s GreenPrints initiative through the Corridors of Opportunity program.

They are free to attend, but please register in advance so organizers can prepare sufficient supplies.

Biddleville Park

• Meeting location: 500 Andrill Terrace, Charlotte, NC 28216.

Camp Greene Park

• Meeting location: 1221 Alleghany St., Charlotte, NC 28208.
• Streets to be cleaned: Alleghany Street and Freedom Drive.

• Meeting location: 2845 Beatties Ford Road, Charlotte, NC 28216.
• Streets to be cleaned: Beatties Ford Road (south to Montana Drive) and N. Hoskins Road.
