HNS Trunk or Treat

The city will wrap up National Lead Poisoning Prevention Week with a free Community Trunk or Treat on Saturday, Oct. 31, from 1-4 p.m. at in one of Charlotte's Corridors of Opportunity.

The event will feature trunk-or-treating, free food, music, family activities, community resource providers and the Lead Lady, all helping connect families to important health and housing resources in a fun, accessible setting.

Oct. 25–31 is National Lead Poisoning Prevention Week, and the City of Charlotte's Housing & Neighborhood Services Department is raising awareness about the dangers of lead exposure and resources available to help families keep their homes safe.

LeadSafe Charlotte helps families identify and eliminate lead hazards. Eligible residents may qualify for free home lead inspections, blood lead testing for children and lead hazard remediation. Learn more and apply online or call 704-280-3128 for assistance.
