District 3 Community Development Workshop

Stronger Together: Building Relationships Between Community and Development

 

Join Council Member Mayo for a District 3 Community Development Workshop. This workshop is designed to help residents understand how development decisions are made, when community input matters most, and how neighbors can work together to shape projects in ways that benefit our communities.

Topics include:

  • Planning: Policy and Regulation
  • Community Developer Collaboration
  • Staying Engaged and Informed

You will learn:

  • How to use the Community Area Plans to guide development and projects in your community
  • The difference between by-right development and rezoning under Charlotte's Unified Development Ordinance
  • When and how residents can influence development outcomes
  • Real examples of community-developer collaboration
  • How to stay engaged and informed moving forward
