Bike Month Celebration

As Bike Month comes to a close, join us on June 8 from 4–6 p.m. at Walter G. Byers School for a community celebration of bicycling!

This event will also celebrate the completion of the school’s new community traffic garden. In partnership with Trips for Kids Charlotte, the event will feature a kids bike rodeo, free food and refreshments, bike giveaways and raffle prizes, and recognition of the 2026 Bike Month award winners, including Bike-friendly Business, PBLS Mileage Monarch, and Bike Champion.

Bikes will be available onsite for children to participate in the bike rodeo activities (recommended for grades K–2), though participants are also welcome to bring their own bikes and helmets.
