Solid Waste Services will not collect Monday, May 25, in observance of Memorial Day. Put carts out by 6 a.m. on your collection day. If your cart is not collected within 48 hours of your collection day, call 311 to report a missed collection.

The No Swim Advisory issued on 5/25 for Island Cove on Lake Wylie near Island Point Rd has been lifted after water sampling results showed bacteria levels within the normal range.

A No Swim Advisory was issued on May 25, 2026, for a cove on Lake Wylie near Island Point Road due to a sewer overflow that was been repaired. Residents and pets should avoid this area until further notice. Charlotte-Mecklenburg Storm Water Services staff are taking water quality samples to test for bacteria. The advisory will be lifted when the water is safe for recreation.
