Beginning Monday, July 13, the Charlotte Area Transit System (CATS) will begin drainage improvements at the Blue Line crossing south of Scaleybark Station on South Boulevard. The work will require a Blue Line schedule adjustment to support single-tracking between four stations and closure of the southbound lanes of South Boulevard between Clanton Road and Old Pineville Road for four weeks.

TIMING DETAILS: Monday, July 13, through Friday, Aug. 14, 2026.

July 13 to Aug. 14: Southbound lanes of South Boulevard will be closed between Clanton Road and Old Pineville Road. A southbound detour will route travelers from Clanton Road to Tryon Street to Woodlawn Avenue and back to South Boulevard. You can view this and additional information about current closures on the Charlotte Department of Transportation's (CDOT) interactive street closure map. This information populates closures into the Waze application and is updated daily. For additional information about CDOT, contact CDOT Customer Service at 704-336-4119. Access to businesses in the closure area will be maintained via alternate routes.

July 13 to 26: Blue Line trains will single track between Archdale, Tyvola, Woodlawn and Scaleybark Stations. Customers should board all trains from the northbound platform at those stations. Directional signage will be placed at these stations to support customers and customers are encouraged to always reach out to CATS Customer Service at 704-336-RIDE (7433) should they have questions or need support.
