Officers were nominated by community members, and winners were selected by a group made up of members of the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Community Relations Committee. One youth was also honored during the ceremony for their outstanding leadership, service and positive engagement with their peers and community.
The awards ceremony is an annual feature of National Police Week, which in 2026 takes place May 11-16.
Award nominations are accepted throughout the year. If you know an officer who deserves to be recognized, nominate them today for the 47th annual awards in 2027.
