What

The Charlotte Regional Transportation Planning Organization (CRTPO), the metropolitan planning organization for the Charlotte urban area, is developing its first Comprehensive Safety Action Plan (CSAP) to identify high crash locations and contributing serious crash factors along the roadway network in Iredell, Mecklenburg, and Union counties. This plan will build a coalition of shared traffic safety responsibility with our jurisdictions and NCDOT, to identify areas where countermeasures can be implemented to reduce serious crash rates and build data systems necessary to monitor progress towards safer streets for all users. For more information about the CSAP, visit www.crtpo.org/csap.
