Host a Youth Intern This Summer with MYEP
Published on March 06, 2026
The City of Charlotte received more than 1,200 applications for summer youth interns and we are looking for employers to create meaningful experiences for them.
Each paid, six-week internship helps a student to build confidence, gain experience in a workplace, explore a career and develop professional skills.
Do you want to have a life-changing impact on a Charlotte student? Sign up to host a youth intern for this summer’s program! Fill out our interest form, and someone from our Youth Opportunities team will connect with you. Please note that hosting a youth intern requires providing a paid internship; the host employer is responsible for the cost.
Not ready to sign up and need more information? Learn more at one of our in-person employer information events on March 18 at 1 p.m. or April 2 at 10 a.m., or attend our virtual information session on March 25 at 1 p.m. RSVP through the interest form.
Can’t host an intern this summer? Get involved through sponsorship or a different youth program. Explore how to get involved on the Office of Youth Opportunities webpage.
