Data Centers: City Establishes Task Force
Published on August 18, 2026
A task force is convening to prepare policy recommendations through a series of seven meetings. The group will work to offer policy adjustments that align with residents’ daily lives and reduce the impact of data centers on the community.
The group includes council-appointed community members and technical, industry experts.
Together, these representatives will bring land use and development review experience, infrastructure and environmental knowledge, perspectives from key growth corridors, and technical and research-based insight on air quality and energy systems to the task force's work.
If you would like to share your thoughts about data centers, you are welcome to join one of six community engagement sessions that are being offered to collect community feedback.
Meetings will be recorded and available to the public on the city’s YouTube page.
