Solid Waste Services is operating on its regular schedule the week of Veterans Day. Be sure that carts are at the curb no later than 6 a.m. on collection day. It is a green recycling collection week.

Charlotte City Council to Hold Special Meeting November 9

Pursuant to G.S. 143-318.12 (b)(2), (e) and Sec. 3.02 of the City of Charlotte Charter, Mayor Harrington is calling a special meeting of the Charlotte City Council for Monday, November 9, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. The meeting will be held at the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Government Center, located at 600 East Fourth Street in room 267.

In accordance with Section 3.23 (b) of the City Charter, the purpose of this meeting is for Council to discuss policy items and to consider and take action on any agenda items for the regular Charlotte City Council Business meeting portions previously scheduled to begin at 5:00 p.m. in room 267.

The public may access the meeting in-person or livestream the meeting on the city’s YouTube or on the city’s Government Channel.
