The mayor appoints Charlotte City Council members to different committees to receive updates and provide feedback on projects and programs, and to make policy recommendations to the full City Council. The City Council committees meet on the first Monday of every month. The committees are:

The committee reviews and recommends policies that promote workforce development, economic opportunities, and business growth.
The committee reviews and recommends policies to increase safety for our residents and visitors.
The Committee reviews and recommends policies to fund community priorities, to optimize uses of public resources, and to collaborate with other government partners.
The committee reviews and recommends policies designed to promote mobility, environmental stewardship and planned growth.
