Tuckaseegee Arboretum & Gardens (TAG) is located on the grounds of City of Charlotte Landscape Management at 701 Tuckaseegee Road. This space provides a beautiful, peaceful space to learn, discover, get inspired and take a break from the adjacent urban landscape. TAG is home to a wide variety of native and adapted woody shrubs and trees, a pollinator garden and several urban landscape demonstration gardens. The arboretum is open to the public and free of charge. From the fragrant blooms of spring to the vibrant colors of fall, the 25+ species of trees and shrubs, plus 35+ species of grasses and perennials in the gardens, provide year-round interest for arboretum guests.
The purpose of TAG is to provide a natural meeting place to host public adult and youth education programs on topics such as tree identification, the importance of tree preservation, proper care of Charlotte's glorious tree canopy, the benefits of plants for pollinators and how to design, create and maintain natural gardens and pollinator habitat for urban landscapes.
