Mike Hill is the chief financial officer of Charlotte Douglas International Airport, which is owned and operated by the City of Charlotte.
He manages all financial, accounting procurement, risk management/safety and health, administration and information technology (IT) activities for the department.
Hill is responsible for the preparation and development of the Aviation Department's $200 million annual operating budget, airline rates and charges program, development of its Annual Financial Report, the financial implementation of the department's Destination CLT, a $3 billion capital improvement program, and management of its $1 billion debt portfolio. He also leads Aviation's Information Technology workgroup, including business systems, the airport IT network and the IT Help Desk.
He has been a part of the Aviation Department since 2013. Before joining the City of Charlotte, he was a senior financial consultant at Newton & Associates, Inc. in Charlotte for 16 years.
Hill has a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Administration from Indiana State University and is a certified member of the American Association of Airport Executives.
