Eastway Drive and Shamrock Drive Intersection

Announcement

June 12, 2025 - The project team is progressing the design for this complex intersection improvement project and coordinating with key stakeholders. The city will host a public engagement event before starting the real estate acquisition phase, where residents can ask questions and learn more about the acquisition process. Details will be shared once they are determined.

Project Overview

This project will reconstruct the intersection of Eastway and Shamrock Drive. Feasibility plans for the project include widening of the roadways through the intersection to a complete realignment. The project team will identify the best land use configuration as well as analyze realignment of the intersection. The project has overlapping limits with the Shamrock Drive Complete Street project, and the projects will coordinate to avoid unnecessary overlap.

Project Goals

This is a multi-modal intersection project providing additional vehicular capacity, safer pedestrian accommodations and includes bicycle facilities at Eastway Drive and Shamrock Drive.

Public Involvement

The project team is planning to host one public meeting in the summer or fall of 2025 to get community input and give residents an opportunity to ask questions about the city's real estate acquisition process. Meeting details will be shared once they are determined.
