Swearing-In Ceremony

The City of Charlotte will host the official Swearing-In Ceremony for the mayor and members of City Council on Dec.1 at 6 p.m. in the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Government Center, Council Chamber.

This public ceremony marks the beginning of a new term of service for the mayor and council members as they take the oath of office to represent Charlotte residents. The event will include remarks from city leadership, the administration of oaths and the introduction of the newly seated council.

Seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis, and the ceremony will also be streamed live on the GovChannel for those unable to attend in person.
