Overview

The Brooklain/Coulwood Storm Drainage Improvement Project will reduce street and structure flooding throughout the neighborhood. Located within a drainage area of approximately 65 acres, the project will replace aging infrastructure and provide adequate system capacity. This project area is bordered by Coulwood Drive to the north, Brooklain Drive to the south, Cathey Road to the east and Waycross Drive to the west.

Project Updates

May 2025

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Storm Water Services and engineering consultant Withers Ravenel continue with the design phase. The project will replace aging infrastructure and provide adequate system capacity. The project team is developing detailed drawings for the proposed improvements.
