Project Overview

This project will install a 6-foot-wideconcrete sidewalk, an 8-foot-wide planting strip, concrete curb ramps, concrete driveways, 2 1/2-foot concrete curb and gutter, storm drainage systems and street trees along Margaret Wallace Road from Summerfield Ridge Lane to Marshbrooke Road. The project length is 1,900 linear feet (approximately 0.40miles).

The City of Charlotte is coordinating with the North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) to align a construction timeline for this project with an adjacent NCDOT roadway improvement project. The NCDOT project spans along Margaret Wallace Road from Old Gate Road to Summerfield Ridge Lane and includes improvements at the intersection of Margaret Wallace Road and Arequipa Drive.

To minimize traffic disruptions and maintain neighborhood access, both projects will be closely coordinated.
