Part of the Northeast Corridor Infrastructure (NECI) Program

Project Overview

This project originated from the Northeast Corridor Infrastructure Program (NECI) planning effort. It connects 25th Street over Upper Little Sugar Creek, requiring a bridge or culvert structure to be added. The conceptual cross-section includes two travel lanes, bike lanes, curb & gutter, sidewalk & planting strip and street trees, as well as on-street parking (from the bridge to North Brevard Street).

Project Goals

  • To provide a direct street connection from Brevard Street to North Davidson Street
  • To improve accessibility to the Villa Heights neighborhood and the 25th Street LYNX Blue Line station
  • To promote economic development by providing infrastructure to support and encourage transit-oriented development
