Project Overview

This project extends along Sunset Road from Day Lily Lane and will tie into the existing sidewalk at Kiev Drive. This project will include storm water drainage improvements, new sidewalks, large planting strips and wheelchair ramps on the north side of Sunset Road.

The nearby Sunset Road and Peachtree Road Intersection Project is funded and built by the North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT). This project will provide new wheelchair ramps, pedestrian signals, a traffic signal and a turning lane that will allow vehicles to turn on to Peachtree Road while traveling along Sunset Road from Beatties Ford Road. There will also be a roundabout project being constructed by NCDOT at the intersection of Oakdale Road, Sunset Road and Miranda Road.
