Overview

The Riverbend Storm Drainage Improvement Project will reduce street and structure flooding throughout the neighborhood. Located within a drainage area of approximately 99 acres, the project will replace and/or rehabilitate aging infrastructure and provide improved drainage system capacity. The project area is bordered by Ashton Drive to the north, Sharon Road to the south, Sherbrooke Drive to the east and Whistelstop Road to the west.

Project Updates

March 2025

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Storm Water Services and D&A Wolverine have acquired most of the easements needed for construction. The project will replace and/or rehabilitate aging infrastructure and provide improved drainage system capacity. The project team is continuing to work to finalize the design plans.
