Stormwater Sidewalk Mural Community Drop-In Event

Join Charlotte-Mecklenburg Storm Water Services for a special drop-in event to view the City’s first stormwater-themed sidewalk mural! 

Created in partnership with Charlotte artist and educator Jamil Dyair Steele, this nearly 80-foot sidewalk mural was shaped by community input and uses bold visuals to show how pollution can flow from our streets to local streams and lakes. The artwork highlights simple, everyday actions we can all take to protect our waterways. 

Stop by to view the nearly completed mural, meet the artist, and learn more about stormwater pollution. Light refreshments, educational resources, promotional items, and information about volunteer opportunities will be available.
