Firehouse #30 Groundbreaking Ceremony

rendering of the new firehouse with a view from the sidewalk

Join the City of Charlotte and elected officials to celebrate the construction of Firehouse #30, the southeast's first all-electric firehouse equipped with the first North American style all-electric fire engine. This new facility will replace the existing firehouse located at 4707 Belle-Oaks Drive, which was built in 1955, and will help improve response times. Firehouse #30 was one of three firehouses identified in the Construct Fire Facilities Program within the Fiscal Year 2022 budget.

This project is located in City Council District 3. District 3 Council Member Tiawana Brown, Charlotte Fire Department Chief Reginald Johnson and Sustainable Infrastructure Strategy Manager Heather Bolick will be available during the groundbreaking.

Accommodations available: City of Charlotte does not discriminate on the basis of disability. We will provide auxiliary aids and services, written materials in alternative formats and reasonable modifications in policies and procedures to persons with disabilities upon request. Please contact Corie Shackleford to make arrangements.
