Tuckaseegee Pollinator Garden Volunteer Event

Cool Pollen Pockets.jpg

Please join the City of Charlotte on Wednesday, April 10 at noon for a volunteer event in our demonstration pollinator habitat at Tuckaseegee Arboretum & Gardens, a Level 1 Certified Arboreteum and home of Landscape Management's offices!

We will be installing educational plant labels for the public and doing some spring cleaning such as cutting back last year's stems and dead plant material, removing debris and pulling weeds. Native plant knowledge is desired, but you're free to join us to learn more about plant identification!

Please bring gloves and wear gardening-appropriate shoes and work clothes, a hat, water bottle and sunscreen.

If you have any personal hand tools that you would like to bring and use for this event such as hand pruners or trowels, that would be helpful but not mandatory. Gardening tools and other materials, as well as light snacks and refreshments, will be provided by the city.

This event is free and space is limited, so register today
