Belmont Pollinator Garden Beautification Day

A butterfly on milkweed in a pollinator garden

Help us do a spring cleanup and plant some native perennials and wildflowers to beautify this City of Charlotte urban pollinator habitat. We will be removing weeds and invasive plants, cutting back perennials, planting small native plugs such as asters and butterfly weed and applying mulch.

Please bring gloves and wear gardening-appropriate shoes and work clothes, water and sunscreen.

If you have any personal hand tools that you would like to bring and use for this event such as hand pruners or trowels, that would be helpful but not mandatory.  Plants, mulch and some tools will be provided by the city.

This event is free and space is limited, so REGISTER TODAY!

REGISTRATION DEADLINE: Thursday, April 11 @ 5 p.m.

LIABILITY WAIVER: You will be required to sign a liability waiver when you check in. It will be attached to the confirmation and reminder emails you receive after you sign up.

PARKING: Please park in the lower lot at the Belmont Center (700 Parkwood Avenue). The garden is located nearby on the other side of the greenway (at 608 Parkwood Avenue). A map will be provided to all participants when they sign up.
